ROOM RATES AND OTHER INFO
TIPPLE TREE BEYA
Tipple Tree Beya has a choice of
accommodations, a private cabin, two rooms with
private bath, and a room with outside private bath.
We are not luxury, but we try to offer clean, comfortable, and friendly
accommodations. Tipple Tree Beya is located on the
beach front in Hopkins Village, a small, traditional, Garifuna fishing
village right on the Caribbean Sea. If you want to be away from the
crowds - Hopkins is the place to be. ACCOMMODATIONS The rooms share a large shaded
veranda with hammocks. Rooms with private bath have a hot shower and ceiling
fans. All Tipple Tree Beya accommodations
are well ventilated and screened. The cabin has a private
bathroom/hot shower, microwave (most people do lunch and breakfast and eat out on the
evening), a refrigerator, and a coffee pot. It is open plan with a double bed, a double sofa bed,
sitting area, the kitchen, and the bathroom. The cabin - in Belizean style - is
raised on posts with hammocks and a picnic table underneath - a perfect spot to
relax in the shade. RATES/ZIMMERPREISE Room with outside private bathroom

there are places to eat within walking distance. Iris's Restaurant, The Watering

Prices are about: breakfast and lunch $8 BZ ($4 US), up to a lobster dinner for $25 BZ
($12.50 US). If you book a room with coffee pot, bring your favorite coffee with
you, ground coffee is hard to find in Hopkins and the choice is limited. Tipple Tree Beya rents bicycles and
kayaks. We are just four miles away from Sittee River Village where you can go for
jungle river trips, and ten miles away from the Jaguar Preserve for hiking - day
trips to the preserve are best with a rental car or by arranging for a guided tour, not a
problem, we can arrange tours for you with local tour guides. An example of
some tour prices for two persons are: Jaguar Preserve, $190 BZ including
transfers from Tipple Tree and guide, packed lunch (about $12 BZ per person) and
entrance ($10 BZ per person) extra. Xunantunich Mayan ruins and Blue Hole National
Park $370 BZ including transfers and guide. Snorkelling and diving requires a
boat trip to the barrier reef - again not a problem to arrange. Snorkelling trips to
the reef cost about $250 BZ, ($125 US) 2 persons. Ask about available dive packages.
Right off the beach here at Tipple Tree Beya we occasionally see manatee and
dolphins - no need to get out of your hammock for this one! GETTING HERE You can get from Belize
International Airport either by: Taxi to the city, then bus to Dangriga, changing for the twice
daily bus to Hopkins - the bus will drop you right at Tipple Tree Beya. Or rent a vehicle at the
International and drive here (about a 3 hour drive). Or you can fly from Belize International
to Dangriga, 15 min flight, I can book
these flights for you.
I also arrange a taxi from Dangriga - $80 BZ ($40 US) for 2 persons. I hope that this
has helped tell you a little about
Tipple Tree Beya and where we are in Belize. Looking forward to hearing from
you.
